Addressing Trespassing & Crime in the Palisades – A Message From LAPD Senior Lead Officer, Brian Espin (May 17, 2025)

Attached are our usual map and some reference materials, including a flyer on how to file a police report online for certain crimes, as well as the Trespass Authorization Form.

I’ve received several inquiries regarding the Trespass Authorization Form, so I’d like to provide some clarification:

The Trespass Authorization Form allows LAPD officers to enter private property without a call for service in order to address trespassing issues. While the form is not required to make an arrest, it must be on file if officers are to detain individuals on your property without a specific call for service.

Additionally, I’ve included information on trespassing laws and guidelines for posting appropriate signage on your property.

In a nutshell,

Download the Trespass form here.
