Caruso purchased most of the downtown area of a popular coastal community and reinvented it from the ground up with the new and modern neighborhood destination

Caruso—the Los Angeles-based real estate development and hospitality company behind The Grove and The Americana at Brand—recently held a birthday stroll with live music, family-friendly activities and more to celebrate the one-year anniversary of its Palisades Village project, yet another first-of-its-kind retail, dining and entertainment destination that has become well-known among locals and visitors alike for its highly curated selection of small specialty shops, new-to-brick-and-mortar tenants and local businesses featuring sought-after brands in fashion, beauty, jewelry, home goods and more.

Palisades Village – A New Neighborhood Destination

The centerpiece of the desirable and picturesque coastal community of Pacific Palisades—on 3 acres of land at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Swarthmore Avenue—the 125,000-square-foot walkable gathering place opened on Sept. 22 in 2018. Today, Palisades Village offers numerous food concepts reflecting local talent and chef-driven concepts, not to mention a variety of cuisine, from fine dining to comfortable neighborhood eateries and true food havens.

An Array of Entertainment and Dining Options

Among them: Chef Edoardo Baldi’s edo little bites; Santa Barbara favorite McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams; Malibu wellness storefront SunLife Organics; local Palisadian residents and restaurateurs Marissa and Matt Hermer’s European-inspired brasserie, The Draycott; Erewhon Market; Hank’s and Beverly Hills institution PORTA VIA.

The list of shopping venues continues to grow—with everything from Lululemon and Brandy Melville to Tamara Mellon and Brunello Cucinelli, and even The Little Market and Amazon Books—as does the range of amenities, including concierge services, garage and valet parking, a complimentary bike-share program, a lush park, and a community room for local residents.

There’s also the Bay Theatre by Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas (boasting a replica of the original marquee created in 1948 by motion picture theater designer S. Charles Lee), and for those who think they might want to be right at the center of everything, living options also are available at The Residences at Palisades Village.

Holiday Activities and Celebrations at Palisades Village

Last, but definitely not least, the destination pulls out all of the stops when it comes to activities. In addition to the recent birthday celebration and a Summer Block Party that featured live music, carnival games, crafts and face-painting, the seasonal holiday activities are sure to impress.

It all starts with an annual Tree Lighting Celebration in late November, followed by Santa’s Cottage, a Holiday Market featuring carolers, complimentary apple cider, hot chocolate and a wintry alpine lounge with thematic cocktails and bubbly, and an annual Menorah Lighting.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome guests to join us in celebrating the joy of the holiday season,” says Julie Jauregui, Caruso’s senior vice president of leasing and operations. “At Caruso, we love to celebrate, and we pride ourselves in offering unique and immersive experiences—from a magical Southern California snowfall to our sparkling 50-foot Christmas tree—for everyone to enjoy while they shop, dine and spend time with loved ones.”
